Obituary of Norma Freeman

Norma Freeman, 69, of Gloversville, died Monday at Mt, Valley Hospice House. She was born March 19, 1937 in Mayfield, daughter of the late Raymond ?Pete? and Verna Brooks Van Nostrand. She was educated in Cranberry Creek School and a home maker. Norma was a devoted and loving animal lover. Throughout her life, she enjoyed a variety of pets. She also enjoyed country music, and especially Elvis Presley Gospel Music. Earlier in life, she also loved to dance, and was a frequent spaghetti dinner visitor. Survivors include her brothers; Ivan Van Nostrand of Mayfield and Harvey Van Nostrand of Wells. She is also survived by a step-daughter; Diane Sardella of Gloversville, several nieces and nephews. Norma was pre-deceased by sisters: Eugenia Walter, Ruth Morrison, Audrey Van Nostrand and Iona Van Nostrand and her brothers: Gordon, Chancy, Paul, Dean, Phillip and Edward Van Nostrand. A Graveside service will be held 9:30 am Friday at Rockwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 noon to 2 pm at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street Gloversville.
