Obituary of Todd J. Cook

Todd J. Cook, 37, of Shady Lane Trailer Park, Fonda, NY died suddenly Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Amsterdam, NY on February 23, 1969 a son of Phillip A. Cook and Sherry Ann Ziser Collar. He was a 1987 graduate of Fonda Fultonville Central School. Mr. Cook served as a Senior Staff Sergeant serving in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Alaska. He was currently employed for the railroad as a CSX Yardmaster. He had been employed for CSX in Selkirk, NY over 15 years. Todd enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He also was an avid Yankees Fan and was a member of the Bleeker Fish and Game Club. He is survived by his Mother, Sherry Ann Collar and her husband Dominic Collar of Johnstown, NY. His wife, Veronica N. Cook of Johnstown, NY, Four Children, Craig P. Cook, Anthony D. Cook and Salina D. Cook of Johnstown, NY and Joshua Fancher of Fonda, NY. His companion, Kelly M. Stephens of Fonda, her parents Susan & Henry Michels and John & Peggy Kennedy. Kelly?s children, Airmen First Class Jessica Kennedy of Langley, VA and Christopher Kennedy of Fonda, NY. Two brothers, James E. Cook and his wife Brandy of Fonda, NY, and William R. Cook of Johnstown, NY. A Step-Sister Deborah Shrey of Winterville, N.C. and a half-sister Tammy Purrington of Rome, NY. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services are Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 9:00A.M. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, July 21, 2006 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St. Fultonville, NY. Interment will be in Maple Ave Cemetery, Fultonville, NY with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Mr. Cook?s children c/o Veronica Cook.
