Obituary of Kevin Michael Doyle

Kevin Michael Doyle, 45, of Circular Street, passed away Monday morning at Albany Medical Center following heart transplant surgery. Born in Endicott, NY on June 13, 1961, he was the son of Rosemary Calleo Doyle and the late Ronald W. Doyle. He moved to Amsterdam as a child with his family and attended McNulty Elementary School and was a 1979 graduate of Amsterdam High School. Kevin later attended the University Of Buffalo and following his move to California, he attended the State University at Long Beach. An expert tobacconist, he operated a shop in California. Following his return to this area in 1997, he became the proprietor of Smokin Sam?s Cigar Store in Saratoga Springs. He loved the business because it allowed him to meet many people and many became friends in the process. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Ballston Spa Country Club. Kevin loved to cook and was very proud of his award winning chili that won him a trophy two years in a row at the Saratoga Chili Cook Off. He was a true Yankees fan, and enjoyed traveling down to see the games. Kevin loved his family and was happiest spending time with his two nephews and was elated at the recent birth of his niece. He was a parishioner of the former St. Joseph?s Church in Amsterdam and now of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. His loving mother, Rosemary Doyle of Amsterdam survives, as well as his brothers, Richard and Sean Doyle both of Saratoga; sisters, Lori Gregory Smith of Amsterdam, Lisa Eugene McGillin of Alexandria, Va., & Kelly Kevin Andolina of Clifton Park; nephews; Jason and Ryan Andolina, niece, Giada Marie McGillin, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. In addition to his father, his brother, Robert W. Doyle and his sister, Kathy Doyle Reiss also predeceased him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass Of Christian Burial on Friday at 9:15 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with Fr. Pascal Iannotti, celebrant. Interment is in St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Ft. Johnson. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-8 pm at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
