Obituary of Agnes Brunner

Agnes Brunner, 94, formerly of Queens, New York and most recently Barber St. Apartments, Fonda, New York and Mt. Loretto Nursing Home, Amsterdam, New York, passed away Thursday morning at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam following a brief illness. Born in Bavaria, Germany on November 23, 1911 a daughter of Richard and Maria Nader Schipper. Mrs. Brunner came to the United States when she was married and raised her family in Queens, New York. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker and enjoyed being with her family and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and birds. She was of the Roman Catholic faith. She married William Brunner in the early 1930?s; he passed away in 1960. She is survived by one son, William Brunner and his wife Janet of Miamisburg, Ohio; two daughters, Gertrude Gordon and her husband Thomas of Fonda, New York and Eleanor Bombach and her husband Lawrence of Southbury, Connecticut; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 12, 2006 at 9:45AM at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, 631 Elmont Rd, Elmont, NY. Interment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island, New York. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday June 11, 2006 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM at the O?Brien-Sheipe Funeral Home, Inc. 640 Elmont Road, Elmont, NY 11003.
