Obituary of Karyn A. Bottomley

Karyn A. Bottomley, 59, of West Main St., Amsterdam, passed away Friday morning, June 2, 2006 at St. Mary?s Hospital. Born in Amsterdam on October 13, 1946 a daughter of George J. and Winifred Jones Bottomley. She was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and attended Amsterdam schools. She worked for many years at the former Mohawk Sportswear Company in Amsterdam as a seamstress. She was a member of St. Luke?s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amsterdam and was a member of the Faithful Followers of the church. She enjoyed playing bocci and spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She loved little children and her two dogs, Tica and Precious. She currently was participating in the E.L.Wilkinson Day Treatment Program in Amsterdam. She is survived by five brothers, Gary J. Bottomley, Sr., George J. Bottomley and Tracey D. Bottomley all of Amsterdam, Brian D. Bottomley of Esperance, New York and Trevor Bottomley of Palm Beach, California; nieces and nephews: Stacie Lynn Guilder and Eric Guilder, Ashley, Shania and Brian Guilder all of Gloversville, New York and a special friend, Sammy Greco of Amsterdam. Several cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday June 6, 2006 at 3:00PM at St. Luke?s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Corner of Pine & Division St., Amsterdam with the Rev. John Califano presiding. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday June 6, 2006 from 1:30-2:30PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
