Obituary of Mildred K. Botaitis

Mildred K. Partyka Botaitis, 86, formerly of Forest Avenue, past away Tuesday morning at St. Mary's Hospital with her daughter at her side. She had been a resident of the Wilkinson Health Care Facility for the past five years. Born in Amsterdam on January 31, 1920, the daughter of Stanley and Nora Snopkowski Partyka, she attended local schools. Mildred was an accomplished seamstress and was first employed by the former People's Silk Store and later for Elsie Curren Interiors. She retired in 1980. She was a communicant of St. Casimir's Roman Catholic Church and was a member of its Living Rosary Society and St. Casimir's Seniors. Her beloved husband, Bennie Botaitis predeceased her on Nov. 13, 1990. She was the last of her siblings, her brothers Joseph and Adam Partyka, and her sister, Eva Panunzio also predeceased her. Her loving family includes her daughter, Theresa Frank Conti of Amsterdam; her son, William Louise Leitt Botaitis of Florida; grandchildren; Brenda Brian Peconie, Brian Geralynn Godey, and Sherri Spraker; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Services are Friday at 8:15 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by the Mass Of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at St. Casimir's Church with Fr. Stanislaus J. Swierzowski, celebrant. Interment is in St. Casimir's Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in her memory to St. Casimir's Memorial Fund, or the Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility to whom her family is most grateful for her care.
