Obituary of Ruth Frederick VanDenburgh

Ruth Frederick VanDenburgh, age 98, of Gloversville, died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility, Gloversville. She was born February 6, 1908 in Gloversville, NY, the daughter of the late Daniel and Sylvia Nolan Frederick and was a lifelong area resident. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Ruth was employed at Nathan Littauer Hospital for 37 years as an admissions representative, retiring in 1988. Survivors include three nieces and one nephew, Shirley Travis of Utah, Sylvia VanBuren and Milford Frederick of Gloversville, and Nancy Whiting of Broadalbin. She was predeceased by four sisters, two brothers, four nephews and two nieces. At her request, there will be no calling or visiting hours. Following cremation, a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nathan Littauer Foundation, 99 E. State St; Gloversville, NY 12078.
