Obituary of Cornelia B. Cole

Cornelia B. Cole, 82, of Reed Hill Road, Fultonville, New York, passed away early Tuesday morning April 25, 2006 at her home following a brief illness. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey on October 5, 1923 she was a daughter of William Lance and Antoinette Long Brock. She grew up in New Jersey and was a graduate of Columbia High School in South Grange, New Jersey. She went on to Virginia Union College for two years and later attended Teachers College of Columbia University in New York City. She received her Teaching Degree in General Studies and received her Masters Degree, both from Columbia University. She worked as a teacher for many years at School IS 183 in South Bronx, New York. She later was the owner and operator of Reed Hill Pottery in Fultonville, New York since 1995. She also worked for a time at the Picture Perfect Art Gallery in Canajoharie, New York. Mrs. Cole was a member of St. John?s Episcopal Church in Johnstown, New York, the Schoharie Art Council in Cobleskill, the Mohawk Valley Art Council in Little Falls, New York and the Iroquois Seniors. Survivors include one son, Keith Cole and his wife Charlotte of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; two step-grandchildren, David and Jeremy Rueppel; three grandchildren, Kyle Brock, Tomica Brock and Lashan Cole and five great-grandchildren, Amanda, Olivia, Augustus, Isaac and Dakota. She was pre-deceased by two sons, Myron Cole who died on October 15, 2001 and Brock Cole who died on August 13, 1982. A Burial Service with Holy Eucharist will take place on Thursday Today at 3:00PM at St. John?s Episcopal Church, North Market St., Johnstown, NY. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Cornelia?s memory to St. John?s Episcopal Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville, NY 12072.
