Obituary of Carl L. Hogabone

Carl L. Hogabone, 62, of Storrie St, Amsterdam, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday March 21, 2006 at his home. Born in Schoharie, New York on February 12, 1944 a son of William and Clara B. Rhinehart Hogabone. He was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and attended the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Mr. Hogabone worked as an in home caregiver for the Lexington Center in Johnstown. He also was employed for a time as a security guard at the former Coleco Industries and various mills in Amsterdam. He was part of the McDonald?s coffee group and enjoyed spending lots of his free time there with his friends. He also enjoyed planting a garden every year and just enjoyed being around his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Mr. Hogabone was of the Protestant faith. He is survived by his dear sisters, Susan L. McNamara and her husband Edward of Amsterdam, Joann Uhlinger of Broadalbin, New York; two brothers, Richard and Lester Hogabone both of Amsterdam; cherished nieces and nephews, Laura DiMarco of Amsterdam, Mindy Drzewicki and her husband Ronald of Broadalbin, James Uhlinger of Watertown, New York, Jason Uhlinger of Amsterdam and Jason Hogabone also of Amsterdam. Two great nieces, Briana Drzewicki and Madison Uhlinger, two great nephews, Jason Uhlinger, Jr. and James Uhlinger III. Funeral Services are private at Carl?s request. Private interment will be at a later date in St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Ft. Johnson, NY. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam.
