Obituary of Virginia Buttler

Mrs. Virginia Buttler, 85 formerly of Gloversville, died March 15 at Maplewood Manor Nursing Home, Ballston Spa. She was born December 13, 1920 in Mayfield, daughter of the late Benjamin and Adeline Crossley Bartholf. She was educated in Mayfield schools and employed as a hotel house keeper and as an assembler at Lexington Center. Prior to moving to Ballston Spa, Mrs. Buttler was a resident of The Cloistiere Adult Home in Fultonville. She is survived by her children; Ronald Buttler and his wife Valerie of Ballston Spa, Dale Dylong of Gloversville and Bonnie Buttler Greco and her husband Joseph of Glens Falls. Virginia is also survived by a sister; Lorraine Javarone of Gloversville and a brother; Richard Bartholf of Wells, several grandchildren great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a daughter; Patricia Niznik and a brother Benjamin Bartholf. A memorial gathering will be held 7 pm Sunday at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street Gloversville. There will be no additional visitation or services. Urn burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of her family.
