Obituary of Elizabeth M. Iannotti

Elizabeth ?Liz? M. Iannotti, 62, formerly of Market Street, resident of Edward l. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility died Monday morning with her loving family at her side. She was the daughter of the late Antimo and Sarah Squeglia Carusone. Liz was a life long resident of Amsterdam and was a Wilbur H. Lynch High School graduate. She was a homemaker for many years and at one time was employed as a secretary for Dr. Alexander Zimmerman. Liz enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. She was also a huge Yankee Baseball fan. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Survivors include her dear family: two daughters, Tammy Iannotti of Amsterdam and Jacquelyn Robert DiScenza of Amsterdam; a sister, Rosemary Liggero, of Amsterdam; a granddaughter, Katherine DiScenza; a long time companion, Louie Gowdie of Amsterdam; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony ?Judge? Carusone and John A. Carusone. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2006, at 8:15am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:15am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Saint John Street, Amsterdam with the Rev. Lawrence Decker as celebrant. Cremation will follow at Vale Crematory in Schenectady. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home. A Legacy Candle Ceremony will be held on Wednesday evening at 6:45pm. Memorial contributions may be made in Liz?s memory to G.A.V.A.C., P.O. Box 11, Amsterdam, New York, 12010 or to Edward L.
