Obituary of Virgina Hisert

Virgina Hisert, 88, formerly of Grand Street, passed away Monday morning at St. Mary?s Hospital. She had been a resident of the Palatine Nursing Home. Born in Syracuse, New York on Aug. 13, 1917, the daughter of Milton and Eva Brundidge Young, she lived in this area for many years. Virginia was employed as a glove maker for Amsterdam Glove until she retired. She was of the Roman Catholic faith. She was married to John Marotta who predeceased her in 1982. She later married Fred Hisert, who also predeceased her. Survivors include a brother, Elmer Young of Syracuse and a dear friend, Millie Palleschi and her family of Fonda. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue with Fr. Pascal A. Iannotti officiating. Interment is in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call from 9:00 am Thursday until the time of the services. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Palatine Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.
