Obituary of Sanford R. Bradt

Mr. Sanford R. ?Sam? Bradt, age 81, of Wells, NY, died December 18, 2005 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville. He was born December 23, 1923 on the Windfall Road in Wells, the son of the late Charles and Martha Stuart Bradt. He attended Wells School, and worked as a construction worker on many different job sites. Sam enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching wrestling and landscaping. He is survived by his wife, Marlene Melious Hunt of Wells; also five children, Beverly Williams John of San Francisco, CA, Kelly Murphy Terry of Broadalbin, Kristeen Jaracz Brian of Amsterdam, Kendal Wilt Daniel of Wells and Kevin Bradt Tanica of Seattle, WA; a sister, June Leadley Don of Lake Pleasant; two grandchildren, Alex Williams of San Francisco, CA and Michelle Murphy of Broadalbin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Carl, Paul, Claude and Howard Bradt , and also by three sisters, Mildred Stuart, Myra Goldsmith and Mary Talbot. A private burial service will take place at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wells Historical Society, Route 30, Wells, NY 12190. Arrangements are by Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
