Obituary of Florence E. Brewster

Florence E. Brewster, 80, died Saturday evening at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam where she was a resident for 1 ½ years. Born in Newburgh, New York on January 6, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Florence Terry Harris. She moved to Amsterdam in 2004 coming from Newburgh. Florence lived most of her life and attended schools in Newburgh. She was a homemaker and of the Protestant Faith. Florence was married to the late Arthur R. Brewster Jr. Survivors include; a son, Arthur R. Brewster III of Statesville, N.C.; four daughters, Wanda Pagliaunga, Dolly DeLaire and Lisa Brewster all of Newburgh and Jean Brewster of Amsterdam; a sister, Winnie Capitano of Kerns, Utah; 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, N.Y. with the Rev. Cynthia Leonard officiating. Cremation will follow at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 at the funeral home.
