Obituary of Ann Mancini

Ann Mancini 91, formerly of Catherine Street, passed away Thursday morning at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility following a lengthy illness. Born in Castleton, NY on Aug. 27, 1914, the daughter of Joseph and Rose Zepperi; she lived in Amsterdam most of her life, and was educated here. Ann was employed as a machinist, first for Mohasco, and later for the Edy Brush Company, retiring in 1989. She was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. She was a Gold Star Mother, her son, Airman 2nd Class Richard M. Mancini USN, was killed in action in Vietnam on Jan. 11, 1968. Her husband, Richard T. Mancini, also predeceased her, on June 4, 1971. Her loving family includes three sons; Robert Mancini of Las Vegas, John J. and his wife Gloria, and Michael A. and his wife Irene Mancini all of Amsterdam; Daughter in law Rosemarie Mancini of Gloversville; grandchildren, Richard Mancini, Deanna Brinkerhoff and Michael A, Mancini Jr.; great grandchildren; Andrew & Justin Brinkerhoff, Niko and Tino Mancini; brother William Zippieri and sisters; Catherine Iannotti, Louise Pepe and Rose Lovelace all of Amsterdam; nieces, nephews also survive. Ann was predeceased by her siblings; Albert Zepperi, Elizabeth Peters, Joseph Zepperi, Valentino Zepperi, Mary Guiffre, Enrico Zepperi. Services are Monday morning at 8:15 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by the Mass Of Christian Burial at 9:15 am at St. Michael The Archangel Church. Interment is in St. Michael?s Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-5 pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Activities Department at Wilkinson, in care of the funeral home.
