Obituary of Amy Chrysler Stadler

Amy Chrysler Stadler, 51, of Manny's Corners Rd., passed away peacefully Wednesday noon at her home with her loving family at her side. She bravely fought her illness with courage and dignity. Born in Amsterdam on Sept. 20, 1954, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Werthman Jones and the late Robert Jones. Amy was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School Class of 1972 and received an associate?s degree in public administration from Empire State College. She held the position of assistant court clerk with the Saratoga County Family Court in Ballston Spa until her most recent retirement due to her illness and was beloved by all her co workers and friends in the court system. Amy shared a passion for the outdoors, especially the Adirondacks, where she sold her own honey from the beehives she kept at her own home. Also, she grew and tended many fruit trees such as apples, pears and plums and cherished the time spent at her summer home in Raquette Lake. Amy was a member of the Southern Adirondack Beekeepers Assoc., the Town Of Amsterdam Republican Club and the Hagaman United Methodist Church. On October 12, 2002 she was united in marriage to Timothy Stadler; in addition to her husband, she leaves her mother, of Amsterdam; her son Sean and his wife Missy Chrysler of Amsterdam; step daughters Tracy and Nicole Stadler both of Melbourne Fla.; her sister; Michele Morgan of Derry NH; brother; Timothy McGuigan of Canajoharie; grandchildren; Emily and Ethan Chrysler, and Payton Stadler; nephews; Justin Morgan and Jaden McGuigan; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services to celebrate her life will take place Monday at 11:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. Interment is in the Hagaman Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 3-5 pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Dr. Michael Sheridan?s Avon Breast Cancer Assoc. in care of the funeral home. Amy?s family wishes to thank Dr David Mastrianni and his staff and the Community Hospice of Amsterdam for their care and concern for her.
