Obituary of Theresa M. Crucitti

Theresa M. Crucitti, 86, formerly of Bunn Street, passed away peacefully Monday morning at Montgomery Meadows after a lengthy illness. Born in Fonda on Nov. 30, 1918, the daughter of Joseph and Harriet Horning DeSantis, she was a graduate of Fonda schools. In her earlier days, Theresa worked for several glove companies in the area. She was a dedicated homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Since moving to Amsterdam in 1946, she was a communicant of St. Michael The Archangel Roman Catholic Church. On June 16, 1946 she was united in marriage to Bruno L. Crucitti. He predeceased her on Jan. 19, 1988. Her loving family includes her daughters; Carol and her husband Joel Havlicek of Burnt Hills; and Marilyn and her husband Anthony Messineo of Amsterdam; her four granddaughters; Michele and Jennifer Havlicek, and Kristen and Kara Messineo; a great-granddaughter; Taylor Anne Black; a brother, Richard DeSantis of Louisville, Kentucky; four sisters; Mary Frascatore, Margaret DeSantis, Gloria Peters and Nellie DeSantis all of Gloversville; nieces and nephews survive. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph DeSantis in 1991. Services are Saturday at 8:30 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by the Mass Of Christian Burial at 9:15 am at St. Michael The Archangel Church. Fr. Lawrence J. Decker, celebrant. Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. Calling hours are Friday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
