Obituary of Anna May Rose

Anna May Rose, 71, of West Prospect Street, passed away Thursday evening at St. Mary?s Hospital. Born in Fonda where she resided her entire life, on August 9, 1934. She was the daughter of William and Edna Schultz Schichler. Educated in Fonda schools, she was employed at various local factories, lastly at Kass-Keller and Almor Playtime. She was of the Roman Catholic faith. Her loving family includes her sons, Benjamin M. Rose of Fultonville and Joseph C. Rose of Johnstown; her daughters, Gwendolyn Hutchins and Peggy Carpenter both of Johnstown; Laurie LaVoie and Pamela Manchester both of Fultonville, and Penny Rose of New York City; a brother, Edward J. Schichler of Nelliston; twenty-one grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and cousins. Anna May was predeceased by her parents; two daughters, Tina Rose in 1979 and Jenny Costanzo in 1989; a brother, William Schichler, and three great grandchildren: Kristy, Jeffery and Carly. Services are private at the convenience of the family with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
