Obituary of Beatrice C. Mossey

Beatrice C. Mossey, 78, of Airport Rd., Ft. Plain, passed away with her family by her side early Thursday morning at her home after a short illness. She was born on November 21, 1927 in St. Albans, VT she was the daughter of Frank and Nina Streeter Mossey. Beatrice was educated in Vermont where she attended Holy Angels Elementary School and graduated from Bellows Free Academy. She moved to Ft. Plain from Vermont in 1967. Beatrice was employed in Vermont in the business office at St. Albans Hospital for many years until moving to Ft. Plain where she worked as a bookkeeper for the family businesses, Napa Auto Parts and later Rickard-Barker Oil Co. both of Ft. Plain until her retirement in 1994. Beatrice was a communicant of the St. James Roman Catholic Church in Ft. Plain and was a homemaker, and loving, devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survivors include her 4 children, Terry Allard and her husband Peter of Swanton, VT, Pamela Przybylo and her husband Joseph of Tribes Hill, Michael Lawson of Ft. Plain, NY; and Valerie Lawson of Ft. Plain, NY; 8 grandchildren, Stephanie Hurley and her husband Brendan of Milton, VT, Christopher Allard and his wife Jennifer of Milton, VT, Patrick Allard of Colchester, VT, Carolyn Przybylo of Albany, Ryan, Cody and Heather Lawson all of Ft. Plain, and Victoria Stella of Ft. Plain; and 7 great grandchildren, Corey, Danielle, Casey, and Brianna Hurley, and Shelby, Colby and Bailey Allard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday, August 13, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. James Roman Catholic Church, 115 Reid St., Ft. Plain, NY with the Rev. Kenneth Swain celebrant. There will be no calling hours. The burial will take place on Monday August 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Albans, VT with the Rev. Maurice Roy officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Beatrice?s memory to St. James Roman Catholic Church, 115 Reid St., Ft. Plain, NY 13339.
