Obituary of Frank Santibianchi

Frank A. Santibianchi, 74, of Broad Street, passed away Tuesday evening at the Inn Of St. Peter?s Hospice in Albany with his loving family at his side. Born in Fonda, where he lived his entire life, on July 18, 1930, the son of Anthony and Loretta Arcesi Santibianchi, he was educated locally. Frank retired from the Fonda-Fultonville Central School as head custodian in 1985 after nearly thirty-five years of service. A well known businessman, he was the owner of the former Fairview Laundromat in Fonda, and established Michael Lee?s Restaurant twenty years ago. An avid horse racer, he was a member of the New York State Harness Racing Assoc. He was a communicant of St. Cecilia?s Roman Catholic Church. During the Korean War, he served with the US Army. On August 30, 1953, he was united in marriage to the former Mary J. DiCaprio. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his loving daughter, Loretta ?Lorie? Gross and her husband Richard of Scotia; a sister: Thressa Santibianchi of Fonda, a grandson: Michael DiPasquale of Scotia and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Coratti, of Amsterdam. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:15 am at St. Cecilia?s Church. Fr. Patrick Gallagher, OFM Conv. and Fr. Pascal A. Iannotti, cousin of the family, as con-celebrants. Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass. Calling hours are private at Frank?s request. Interment is in the family plot in St. Cecilia?s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Cecilia?s Church, 26 Broadway, Fonda, NY 12068.
