Obituary of Isabel Margaret Myzal

Isabel Margaret Luciano Myzal, 83, formerly of Woodland Ave, Gloversville, and most recently a resident of Mt. Loretto Nursing Home in Amsterdam, passed away Tuesday at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Amsterdam, NY on June 20, 1921 she was a daughter of William and Anna Curcio Luciano. She was a lifelong area resident and attended Amsterdam schools. Mrs. Myzal worked at Nathan Littauer Hospital in the Physical Therapy Department. She later worked for a time at the Perrella Glove Co. in Gloversville and for a local Doctor. She last worked for the Lexington Center in Johnstown, N.Y. as the Assistant to the Purchasing Agent until her retirement. Isabel fought a long and courageous battle with Parkinson?s disease; her fight and spirit will always be remembered. Her favorite pastimes included gardening and cooking. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Gloversville and at one time was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Amsterdam. She married George Myzal on November 13, 1949, he passed away in 1990. Survivor?s include her loving son David Myzal and his wife Terry of Gloversville; her loving daughter Janice Roxy Myzal of New York City; three dear brothers: Thomas Luciano of Hagaman, NY; William Luciano Jr. of Houma, LA; Charles Luciano of Hopkinton, MA; her dear sister Betty Luciano Ross of Hagaman, NY; four cherished grandchildren: Christina Myzal, Jacob Myzal, Joshua Myzal and Emily Myzal. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00A.M. at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam with the Rev. John Califano presiding. Interment will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Ft. Johnson N.Y. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 4-7PM at the funeral home.
