Obituary of Miss Milda N. Kiaunis

Milda N. Kiaunis, most recently of Gansevoort, NY, passed away at home under the loving care of Hospice on Saturday, January 20, 2018. Milda was born on the family farm on Baldwin Rd. in the Town of Amsterdam on November, 18, 1927 and was the last child of Lithuanian Immigrants, James and Edna Kubilunas Kiaunis. She lived there most of her life, building her own home next to the old family homestead. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Joseph, sisters Frances Wojnar and Ann Czelusniak; and her nephew Samuel Wojnar. She is survived by her dear partner and best friend, Flora (Teena) Behr of Gansevoort, and ten nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Milda was a member of the former St. Casimir's Church in Amsterdam, NY Arrangements are under the direction of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held by the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams, Hospice Chaplain at 11:00 AM on Thursday January 25, 2018 at the funeral home. A Short visitation period will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment is in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Amsterdam. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Community Hospice Foundation, 310 South Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208.
