Dear William (Billy),
I am so saddened to hear of your father's passing (almost a year later)- both your mom & dad hold a special place in my heart. They were the most special and dedicated godparents to me. I was just sitting down to write my annual Christmas card to your dad, and decided to first google his name and this Obituary appeared. I have been corresponding with your parents my whole life. Your mom "Aunt Foye" to me, was friends with my mom (Alvina Batty) and was my official godmother - she sent me books, prayers, cards growing up, and as years continued on, Easter cards and always the annual Christmas card, and I always sent one also. After your mom's passing, your dad ("Uncle Foye") continued to send the annual card, & I to him. I know our paths have never crossed ( that I can remember), but your parents were "family" to me, and I will miss the annual correspondence. They were always very loving people and I know they are at peace in heaven - watching over you!!
Consider me that "sister" that you never had and if you ever need anything or just to talk, please contact me. My Deepest sympathy goes out to you for your loss....
Love & Prayers,
Kathleen Shepherd

My deepest sympathies go to Williams family... Mr. Fooie as I called him fondly " Well, Well, Well, Mr. Fooie" boy what a laugh he had and he knew just who I was. Oh Melissa, you and that Mr. Fooie! I had such good talks with him while completing my books at the end of my shift. When he moved, I went to visit on occasion. He was such a nice person, with great stories and I will miss him dearly. Condolences to his son, family and friends he spoke of you all fondly and he is at rest now with his Esther. May they reunite and rest in peace, I know he missed her dearly.

Dear William:
My condolences to you for the loss of your father. Although I didn't know your father, however , when I saw the last name , I just knew he had to be related to my teacher , Mrs. Foye, your mom. I will be 70 years old this year and will always remember he beautiful and caring person she was. May God Bless them both with eternal peace and a candle for them and the memories shared.

One of the fondest memories of my childhood was when he was my grade school principal at Kingsboro school in Gloversville, NY. I still have my kindergarten diploma from the graduating class of 1966 with his signature on it, along with the teacher, Ruth Gloning. My sincere condolences to the family of a wonderful and inspiring human being.

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of William. I knew him from Wells House. I use to enjoy talking to him about teaching (former teacher myself) and different schools as well as other topics. Keep the good memories close for they will help during this difficult time. With Deepest Sympathy.
