Obituary of William L. Foye

William L. Foye, Sr., 94, of Gloversville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown. Born September 12, 1920 in New York City, NY, he was a son of the late John J. Sr and Helen Lee Foye. William is a retired school teacher and principal from McNab Elementary School in Gloversville. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and he proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. Survivors include his son William L. Foye, Jr. of Albany. William was predeceased by his beloved wife Esther Lennon Foye; brother John Foye; sisters Margaret Robinson and Elizabeth "Susie" Bruning. A memorial service to celebrate William's life will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 11:00am at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.
